Mountain Overview

Trans YB3B is a northern Titiwangsa ridge traverse linking Gunung 6040, Gunung 3 Boundaries, Gunung Challi and Gunung Yong Belar into a continuous multi-peak expedition system. The route begins at Blue Valley Dam and progresses through extended ridge networks before exiting via the Kebun traverse corridor. This expedition is defined by long ridge exposure, repeated elevation changes and sustained endurance across multiple mountain systems.

4WD approach into Blue Valley Dam marks the entry into the northern Titiwangsa expedition system. From here, the route fully commits into remote mountain terrain.

6040 • 3 BOUNDARIES

Initial ridge progression across Gunung 6040 and Gunung 3 Boundaries introduces sustained climbing, moss forest sections and continuous elevation gain.

CHALLI RIDGE

Dragon-back ridge system dominates this section with repeated ascents and descents, demanding strong pacing and endurance control.

CAMP GURKHA

Key staging point with water access and recovery zone before the final push towards Yong Belar.

YONG BELAR SUMMIT

Final summit of the traverse. Marks completion of the multi-peak ridge system before the long descent via Kebun corridor begins.
